Precious sighting

This can be counted as a wild sighting :-) Though it wasnt much. Hornbills (Oriental Pied) in orchards ?! (Ubin - the only countryside island of Singapore)
I dont know whether to feel happy or sad about it.

But I was lucky enough to watch the adult feeding chicks inside the nest-hole. Watched it for an hour. Feast for eyes. The tail fanned out was wonderful to watch. Nothing to beat the beauty of nature. It was a digital cam, without much zoom. Went there just for physical exhaustion, not photography :-(

They are really b'ful birds :)
Wow :-)... Cool pics. have just seen hornbills once before (for a sec. or two I guess)
Thanks Satz & Naikutti - truly lucky !
Hornbills are adaptable birds and go very well with humans around. But what they are not adjustable with is the others of its own kind (Some what like humans, rnt they?!) They are highly territorial.
