Munia is a name that was drilling me once, since it sounds very much like a tamil name. muni, munian, muniyaandi, muniyamma....
But I am sure it was used first by British Indians.
Anyway this is the Javan Munia :-)

thanx naikutti, guess wat mynas are such a menace here and they are like crows of india, they are present everywhere !!!
